It all starts with a strong foundation.
Breaking the Barriers to Learning
Each year thousands of youth drop out of school. This seemingly simple and personal act alters the course of their lives forever. It is a cost that alters their education and future earning potential.
Tens of thousands of youth in lower-income neighborhoods have the potential to succeed in school but are unable to overcome the barriers of education that are created by poverty. Lower literacy as early as grade 1 increases the risk of a child dropping out of school by a higher percentage. Insufficient financial means, lack of positive role models in the community plays a bigger part.
The reading and running initiative program helps make this dream a reality. The program address the need for enhanced literacy and physical activity among children experiencing poverty. The reading and running initiative plans to operate worldwide.
Ask yourself: Do you have someone who is in the top one percent in the world to help you get from where you are currently, to where you can reach your goal?
“I’ll bet 99% of people will say they don’t, and that’s why they need to pick up a book. While there are awful books out there, when you pick up a masterful book, you are literally being taught by a world-class mentor”
